Over two years have passed since the season finale of A&E’s Ghost Hunters last premiered in the States and two former investigators of the show, Brandon Alvis and Mustafa Gatollari have teamed up to bring a brand new paranormal docu-series; Haunted Discoveries. They are joined by historical researcher Malia Miglino and longtime paranormal investigator Kevin Otte. The show is said to ‘upend the current slate of paranormal TV in a big, big way.’
“The genre has become stale. It’s an old hat, and Haunted Discoveries is going to upend the current slate of paranormal TV in a big, big way.”
Haunted Discoveries: Brandon Alvis
The series is rooted in Kentucky, where the team delves into the area’s most historic haunts ranging from the estates of prominent families, old jails, and witchcraft ritual sites, to analyzing mysterious environmental anomalies tied to the state, many of which have been repurposed into bed & breakfasts or museums that have embraced their ghostly claims.
Alvis and Gatollari expand on the groundbreaking methodology laid out in their best-selling book ‘Elements of a Haunting‘ in the new series by incorporating never-before-seen experiments, including tech developed by Zak Heino, an aerospace engineer. The team will also collaborate with Harry ‘Doc’ Kloor, an accomplished scientist. Kloor was first to be awarded two PhDs simultaneously in two distinct academic disciplines both earned at Purdue University. In recognition of this achievement, he was named ABC person of the week in August 1994.
We’re telling real ghost stories in a beautiful, cinematic way. Brandon’s not just an incredible paranormal investigator, he’s a ridiculously talented filmmaker. To combine emotional and scary tales with legitimate research is a dream come true.”
Haunted Discoveries: Mustafa Gatollari
Although we don’t know when the new series will be released or on what platform, we do know it’s going to be something that paranormal fans are going to enjoy. So make sure you keep it ‘WATCHED‘ for further updates!
