With October nights feeling murkier and Halloween approaching, From Monday 24th October BLAZE is setting out to explore what’s hiding in the dark by dedicating its evenings to Monster Week!
These aren’t the kind of monsters you find in your wardrobe – these are the stuff of legends that have inspired blockbuster movies and countless nightmares.

“The Mothman Legacy” (UK Premiere)
Monday 24th October at 9pm
The Mothman Legacy is the story of one of the most frightening American urban myths, the legend of The Mothman, a red-eyed creature seen by some as a harbinger of doom in 1960s rural West Virginia. The Mothman is a 1960’s phenomenon, an omen appearing before and disappearing after the Silver Bridge collapse in 1967. But what if there’s more? What if the origins of this omen trace back much further and go much deeper than anyone realised? And what if…the sightings never ended?

“Elusive: Bigfoot in Britain” (UK Premiere)

The Bigfoot is well known in North America but reports of an 8-foot-tall unknown primate in the forests of the UK and are reported surprisingly regularly. This British Sasquatch is described by eyewitnesses as being between six and eight feet tall with a pronounced brow, a rounded crested head like a gorilla and often all black in colour. There are over 500 sightings of creatures fitting these descriptions and many encounters border on the supernatural.

Britain’s Big Cat Mystery is a UK documentary which explores the phenomenon of mysterious large cats prowling the wilderness and countryside of rural Britain. “Cat Hunters: The Search For The Beast of Exmoor” (UK Premiere)
Sunday 30th October at 9pm
This UK premiere series follows a team of investigators as they explore the countryside of Britain in search of big cats. Meet the team: Jon McGowan, a veteran researcher who has studied the phenomenon for decades; Rhoda Watkins, trained in the art of animal tracking by the world-renowned San Bushmen; Jay Opie, an expert in search and rescue and Carl Marshall, a cryptozoologist who has been on expeditions all over the world.
